During the Battle of the Bulge, there is discord among the soldiers! Lieutenant Joe Costa (Palance) discovers that his men perished because Captain Cooney (Albert) refused to enter the fray, prompting Costa to issue a stern warning: This cannot happen again! When Cooney's fearfulness forces Costa to make a difficult decision, he must choose between endangering his men or taking the captain's life. Cinematographer Joseph F.
